Compact, easy to use and just darn cute! The Alpha fox 52 watt box mod is an awesome little powerhouse! Powered from a single tiny 18500 rechargeable battery, it comes with a variety of settings that challenge the technical aspect of the common builder, or the rest of us, which is simple lol Between Power mode, Taste, Tc, (temperature coefficient of resistance) and Tf (temperature factor of resistance) you've got just about anything that you need in terms of range for builders. Now some would say, why give so many options if it only ranges to 52 watt's? Honestly why the heck not! %2w might not be BLAZING but it is certainly enough to burn it up! Case in point; 50w is enough to hit a .2 ohm coil hard enough to give great flavor and clouds to just about any build, so long as it fits the equipped RTA~ Which leads us to that! The RTA that comes with it is solid in its design, but lacking in it's perspective. The build deck is "TINY", with space enough to provide a 3-4 coil wrap at about no bigger than 20 mm. Where for most amateur builders (like me) that will suffice! But in this day and age where building has become pretty standard, most coil smiths can design something more impressive than I could ever have a chance of creating! that being said, the actual delivery of flavor and cloud was surprising! The only other downfall other than the restricted build deck is the drip tip. Not the design per say, but the opening is so close to the coil that you get an initial "spit back" on your first few consecutive fires. This is an ouch moment for me! But honestly, once you have a coil mounted and the juice primed, your pretty good to go. Taking the RTA into consideration, or just out of the equation, the Mini Bolt has allot to offer and at a decent price point! The Alpha Fox Mini Bolt 52watt goes for $59.99 USD. The RTA could use an overhaul, but as far as cons go, they have wiggle room and I know for a fact that they have more products hitting the US market very soon!
